| Project Cleanup |
|
The Project Cleanup tool offers the user an ability to create a lightweight file that contains only the views pertinent to the specified discipline. Use the tool to selectively delete views from the project and then save the view configuration to use again later.
Design teams need to collaborate and share information but working in a one model environment can become congested and the file size can become unmanageable as it is passed between Architecture, Structural and MEP. Without Project Cleanup, view cleanup can take 15 to 30 minutes at a time. If you get a new file from the Architect each week that can add as much as 3 hours a month just preparing the model for your discipline.
End user tip:
Once you have used the Project Cleanup tool to save out your file, open it and run the Revit command “Purge Unused”. This will get you 50% smaller files to transmit.
