ITS - Intelligent transportation systems

In its 20 years of business, CGS plus d.o.o. has become one of the most visible companies in the field of traffic infrastructure in Slovenia.

Following our success in Slovenia, where our software Plateia is a standard for road design, use of the software then spread to more than 20 countries in Europe and beyond. Our activities were expanded to include the field of traffic and municipal infrastructure maintenance with GIS tools (Geographical Information Systems).

In parallel with this, we developed expertise in the field of measurement techniques and environmental technologies, which led us to activities in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). 

What is ITS?

Major goals of intelligent transportation systems and services  (ITS) is the integration of the most advanced information and telecommunication techniques in transportation systems for the purpose of monitoring and management of traffic flows, road safety improvement, better information for drivers and road maintenance personnel, and reduction of environmental impact.

Project "Road weather information system" for Slovene roads is just one of the projects in the ITS framework where we wish to be active. In addition to ITS for roads we are active also in the field of railroad infrastructure, where we can, at significant investments in railroads, expect many business opportunities in the future.
