2007
CGS plus becomes Autodesk Geospatial Partner with the rights to resell Autodesk Topobase GIS solution. CGS plus was named »Autodesk Preferred Industry Partner – Civil 3D«, one among 5 PIP partners in the world. DHI signs worlwide Aquaterra distribution agreement. We expanded cooperation with Autodesk in the field of development services for german speaking countries, Russia, France, UK and Italy. CGS plus starts with Autodesk Revit sales activities. New office space for the development group was opened. CGS plus was named »HP Preferred Partner«. Many new reference projects in the environmental and GIS field have been completed. New international resellers: Aplikom from Poland, AGA-CAD from Lithuania, Varinex from Hungary and Intelcad from Romania.
2006
New »Ferrovia« software for railway design and maintenance was released. We established cooperation with Dannish Hydraulics Institute (DHI). CGS acts as a DHI agent for reselling DHI products in Slovenia. We started with the first development services for Autodesk, developing REB and OKSTRA interfaces for german Civil 3D. The Document management department was established within CGS plus with distribution rights for UniDocs software from Osa, Belgrade. We intensified our educational services and founded CGS Research group, which participated and won on several tenders for the research and development projects in Slovenia. We added two new international resellers: MGB Data from Switzerland and i-Theses from Belgium.
2005
New familly of CGS software for civil engineering is issued with sign 2006.
We start developing software for railroad design FERROVIA that is planned for the year 2006.
In may 2006, we have organiseed our second CGS Conference.
New software suite »CGS Civil 3D extensions« was released and CGS plus became an exclusive Civil 3D reseller in Slovenia. New international resellers joined CGS distribution network: Team Heese from Germany, IEE from Kosovo, Data System from Czech Republic.
2004
We found "CGS plus" company, which takes over most of CGS activities and is focused on information technologies development. Our corporate design is renewed.
Russian PLATEIA 6.0 software is issued.
We gain distribution rights for a German geomechanics software developing company 'IDAT' and a French company ‘THALES’, which develops GPS systems.
We organize the first CGS conference, where new information technologies are presented.
Within Civil Engineering Software Collection, AQUATERRA - Design and Regulation of river works, is issued.
We organised first CGS Conference of innovative informational technologies for Civil engineering, architecture, environmental and GIS technologies.
2003
100 m2 of new CGS educational facilities equipped with the latest didactic equipment and room for up to 12 participants in courses are opened.
We gain two important referees in Russia, Mosinzhprojekt and Moszheldorprojekt companies, which are the largest road and railway engineering companies in Moscow.
2002
We design a collection of civil engineering software featuring also PLATEIA 6.0. We acquire new business partners in Hungary and Bulgaria. We take over development of MohiCAD software for prefabricated building design.
2001
CGS is granted title 'Autodesk Systems Center'. Sale of new version of CANALIS 5.0 software begins. We acquire distribution rights for products of a Russian company 'Consistent Software' which becomes also our representative in Russia. We start selling PLATEIA 5.0 software in Russia.
2000
More than 500 PLATEIA software licences are installed, of that 160 in Slovenia. The company changes its name to "CGS, Computer Aided Design, GIS and Ecology d.o.o." and renews its corporate design.
On 6th March we move to our new offices on Brnčičeva ulica 13, Ljubljana.
1999
In autumn a contract for largest number of PLATEIA licences so far is signed with a German Frankfurter Aufbau Aktiongesellschaft from Frankfurt.
1998
In Autumn PLATEIA 5.0 software is issued. We became active also in the field of geographic information systems. CGS becomes Microsoft Certified Solution Provider.
1997
Software packages PLATEIA and CANALIS are successfully sold in many European countries like Austria, Germany, Luxemburg, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Macedonia, and Croatia. In Autumn CANALIS 4.0 software is issued. A contract with IDEA Company about CGS software distribution in Europe is signed. We acquire distribution rights from a German company OTT for hydrometric equipment.
1996
PLATEIA 4.0 software is issued. CGS returns on market with high-end CAD graphic cards of a German manufacturer ELSA.
1995
We promote PLATEIA 3.0. in Austria and Germany.
A contract with a German company Widemann Systeme about PLATEIA software distribution is signed. We stop selling Nth Graphic cards (due to closing down of the before mentioned company).
1994
"Adacta Editor" software market expands to Italy and even Japan. In cooperation with Adacta Company, CGS develops AutoCAD version of Editor, named "ADS Vector". In Autum we make first contacts with the Viennese company Peterschinegg GmbH regarding ACAD-BAU software reselling in Slovenia. Later on, Peterschinegg becomes a distributor of CGS software in Austria.
1993
Our software Adacta Editor is fairly successfully sold in USA by our distributor Nth Graphics from Austin, Texas. We visit USA several times. Via "Marketing Strategies International" from Texas we start selling Austin Computers.
Road design software "Ceste" developed by CGS is renamed PLATEIA. First attempts to sell PLATEIA software in Austria prove unsuccessful. Environmental Agency becomes our first user of Hydrolab sounds.
1992
CGS acquires the right to import Nth Graphics products directly from the American producer. The Department of Ecology is established. CGS acquires distribution rights for water monitoring sounds of American company Hydrolab.
In the autumn of 1992, CGS resells more than 50 AutoCAD packages in the framework of Autodesk software legalisation action and becomes an official Autodesk software reseller. First presentations of our road planning software in Croatia follow.
1991
We accomplish first commercial sale of our road design software.
A contract for business and technical collaboration with SCT PROJEKT Ljubljana company is signed.
1990
Matjaž Šajn and Tomaž Dimnik, both graduates in civil engineering, found company CGS, computer graphic and CADD systems, d.o.o.
CGS signs a contract with Belgrade Company ABV Graphics for reselling of American graphic cards "Nth Graphics" and optic discs "Ten-X Technology" in Slovenia.
